Imitation Maple Syrup - 2 points

This is what you serve my nephew to make him a happy breakfast eater:

Since I make my own syrup, I like to experiment with different recipes. This one, because of the Karo syrup, was extra thick. I think I would be even more delicious with Golden Syrup.

Imitation Maple Syrup from The Newcomer's Guide to Cooking in Africa
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cup karo syrup
3/4 tsp maple flavoring

1. Mix sugar and water and bring to a boil. Boil 3 minutes; making sure sugar is completely disolved.
2. Remove from heat; stir in Karo syrup and maple flavoring.
3. 2 points per 2 tbsp

It is time for me to get back in the kitchen. I need to make some banana cookies to take to an ailing friend. Nothing says, "I love you" and "Get well" like baked goods.
